Blue–Red
A reversible sketchbook that moves gradually between two moods
Blue–Red is a two-sided sketchbook designed to begin from either direction. One side opens in red; the other begins in blue. As the user moves through the book, the balance of coloured pages gradually shifts toward the opposite mood.
I developed the product concept, reversible format, signature structure, paper sequence, cover typography, packaging, and retail presentation.
I developed the packaging structure, production dielines, poster artwork, notebook covers, component arrangement, and complete unboxing sequence.

Red and blue create two different emotional entry points – for fiery energetic days and for slow days when you feel a bit blue. The typography sets a mood before the user makes the first mark.
I calculated the composition and order of each signature to control the transition between the two colours.
Because the sketchbook can begin from either side, it has no fixed front or back. The experience changes depending on the mood the user chooses to start with.
