Bengal Classical Music Festival 16-17

For Bengal Classical Music Festival 2016, I developed an identity around music as a unifying force. Flowing graphic lines move across musicians, instruments, Bengali typography, and audiences, connecting them within one continuous visual rhythm. The flexible system expanded across campaign communication, print, merchandise, and event collateral.

The project received a Silver A’ Design Award in Communication Design.

Role — Visual & Communication Designer
Focus — Event Identity, Graphic System, Typography, Campaign Design

A stark contrast between greyscale imagery and vibrant, high-impact colors highlights this transition, symbolizing how music brings energy and enlightenment into our lives.
The system is further extended through custom Bangla typography, shaped by the same fluid visual language.

The graphic system behaves like a continuous musical current. Its lines pass through portraits, instruments, and typography, visually connecting performers and audiences. Changes in colour, spacing, and movement allow the identity to adapt across applications while retaining a recognizable rhythm.

In 2017, the identity evolved from the idea of connection into resonance. Repeated contours radiate around musicians and instruments, translating the lingering vibration of classical music into a quieter, more refined visual language. The new system retained the previous year’s sense of movement while establishing a distinct identity for the festival’s next edition.
